The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
The Chrysler Pacifica continues to modernize family transportation by introducing a plug-in-hybrid variant of the all-new 2017 Pacifica minivan. Not only will it be the first of its kind offered on American shores, but it also retains most of the space and practicality of the non-hybrid model. The standard 3.6-liter V-6 has been revised with new pistons, camshafts, and valves, and it adopts the Atkinson combustion cycle for improved fuel efficiency. A 16.0-kWh lithium-ion battery pack will provide an estimated 30 miles of pure-electric driving before the gasoline engine is needed. The innovative eFlite electronically variable transmission was developed in-house by FIAT Chrysler engineers and uses a planetary gearset and a one-way clutch to direct torque from the two electric motors and the engine to the differential. The hybrid’s ride and handling are much the same as that of the gas-powered Chrysler Pacifica. The spring rates have been increased, allowing for the same smooth ride and confident body control found on the standard models.
The hybrid model retains many of the excellent features found on the gas-powered Chrysler Pacifica. The Chrysler Pacifica hybrid will be offered in Premium and Platinum trim levels. With many advanced safety features, such as adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane departure warnings, forward collision warnings, and an available 360 surround view camera, this minivan works to help keep you and your precious cargo safe. Available 8.4-inch Uconnect® Touchscreen interface with integrated Voice Command, Bluetooth® Streaming Audio, and more make the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica the most technologically awarded minivan in its class.
