Jeep Maintenance Schedule 

To get the most out of a Jeep, both in terms of longevity and value, Vista drivers will need to follow their Jeep service intervals. While there is slight variation between Jeep models (check your owner’s manual for specifics to your vehicle), this recommended schedule will set you on the right path, and our mechanics can make individual recommendations for your model as needed. 

Monthly

• Check the fluid levels for your engine oil, brake fluid, coolant, transmission fluid, windshield washer fluid 
• Check your tire pressure
• Check all of your interior and exterior lights 

Bi-Annually 

• Every 6 months, you’ll need an oil change and filter replacement, as well as a tire rotation, battery inspection, and brake inspection.

20,000 miles

• Inspect your front suspension, universal joints, tie rod ends, front and rear axle fluid, and brake linings. 
• Perform A/C and cabin air filter replacement.

30,000 miles

• Replace your engine air filter. 
• Receive a manual transmission fluid change if you use your Jeep for snow plowing, police work, taxi work, regular commercial passenger transportation, off-roading or regular towing.
• Inspect your case and transfer fluid levels.

40,000 miles

• Change your front and rear axle fluid if you use your vehicle for off-roading, towing, plowing, or regular commercial work like taxiing and policing. 
• Perform all the inspections and replacements mentioned in the 20,000-mile interval.

60,000 miles

• Replace spark plugs 
• Perform the 20,000 and 30,000 mile inspections and replacements
• Change transfer case fluid if you use your vehicle commercially or frequently tow 
• Change the manual transmission fluid

100,000 miles

• Replace the spark plugs 
• Flush and replace engine, intercooler, battery, and Motor Generator Unit coolant if needed (if not needed, to be done at 150,000 miles)
• Perform the 20,000-mile replacements and inspections
• Have your PCV valve inspected and/or replaced.
