RAM Maintenance Schedule by Months and Miles

We always recommend coming in for RAM service before taking a long road trip away from Vista. No matter what your RAM maintenance schedule suggests, you don’t want to face a breakdown far from home. Another important note about your RAM service intervals is that our technicians will always spotlight anything that needs immediate attention.

Every 10,000 Miles/12 Months

  • Change the oil and your filter
  • Rotate your tires at the first sign of irregular wear, even if it occurs before the oil indicator system turns on
  • Inspect the battery and clean and tighten terminals as required
  • Inspect the CV/Universal joints
  • Inspect your brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, and hoses
  • Inspect the engine cooling system protection, and hoses
  • Inspect the exhaust system
  • Inspect the engine air cleaner if you’re frequently driving in dusty or off-road conditions, and replace the engine air cleaner, as necessary
  • Deploy power side steps and clean any linkages with a high-pressure car wash to remove foreign debris. Apply MOPAR® Spray White Lithium Grease to the pivot points
  • Inspect and replace the Evaporative System Fresh Air Filter as necessary; replacement may be more frequent if the vehicle operates in dusty conditions away from San Marcos

At 20,000 Miles or Two-Month Maintenance

  • Inspect your CV/Universal joints
  • Inspect the front suspensions, and tie rod ends, and replace if necessary
