Jeep Easter Eggs: Hidden Jeep Secrets

Jeep makes powerful off-road vehicles that are ready to take you to much more than where the paved roads go in North America. However, Jeep also has a fun side in the form of Jeep secret animals and other Jeep easter eggs. Do all Jeeps have easter eggs? Most vehicles sold by Jeep have some form of unique design choices that will give you a nice little mystery to solve on a Saturday afternoon or when you’re out on the go. Want to learn more about the Jeep easter eggs? Jack Powell Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram has a guide ready and waiting for you!

Jeep Easter Eggs History

Hidden Jeep Wrangler easter egg locations were how this whole thing was started. Back in 1997, Wrangler designer Michael Santoro chose to include a unique design element to each Wrangler and hide it somewhere in their designs. These Jeep secret animals and other easter eggs would act as Santoro’s signature, indelibly stamped on every Jeep model. He said it was a way to make a Jeep “more of a Jeep.” We’ve got a guide to many of the common Jeep easter eggs that you’ll find on a lot of Jeep models.

Common Jeep Easter Eggs

There are tons of hidden Jeep secrets, and to cover them all in this guide would take all day. With that being said, Carlsbad and Vista drivers can see some of these easter eggs on the models in their driveways:

  • Jeep Gladiator models have a decal of flip-flops in the cowl.
  • Decals of vintage Willys Jeep editions are found on the windows or wheels of Jeep Wrangler models.
  • Some Jeep models have the map contours of Moab on the gear shifter.
  • Some Jeep Renegade models have a paint splatter along their redlines, which shows how the Jeep VP of interior design’s goggles looked after a company paintball match.
  • A lot of Jeep Compass models have an image of the Loch Ness Monster on their rear windows.
  • Some Jeep Renegade models have a decal that says “Ciao, Baby!” on the interior of their fuel hatch doors.
  • Some Jeep models put a lizard image underneath the windshield wipers.
  • The Jeep Grand Cherokee sometimes features an image of a Jeep Willys climbing a mountain.
